About the event
We are organizing a back-to-school event/peace barbecue: this event will take place on August 12th, 2023, and; will kick off our fall programs: The organizational founders have hosted this event for five consecutive years at the Orville T. Bright Elementary School, but this year the event will be held at Lyman (Trumbull) Park; Lit Feelings and Raising Laraj would love for your organization to participate in this experience as a co-sponsor.
With this event, we hope to cultivate and build connections with residents through constructive, creative, and holistic interactions with community-based organizations that serve the South-Deering area.
We are asking community-based organizations aligned with our mission and focus areas (literacy, wellness, and artistic expression) to participate. Co-sponsors will gain increased exposure through advertising, media coverage, and in-event networking and engagement opportunities that can help boost brand equity; participating organizations will be assigned a vendor’s table/tent and allowed to promote their organization by providing information or free resource materials to the public.
